Veera Simha Reddy: Balakrishna and Chandrika Ravi are at their energetic best in Maa Bava Manobhavalu

The third single from Gopichand Malineni's action entertainer was launched amidst fans in theatres today

Nandamuri Balakrishna, the actor-politician, will hope to start 2023 with a bang in the form of his action entertainer Veera Simha Reddy, directed by Gopichand Malineni. The film, featuring Shruti Haasan as the female lead in addition to Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Naveen Chandra in crucial roles, also introduces Kannada star Duniya Vijay to Telugu cinema. Set to release on January 12, 2023, the Gopichand Malineni directorial promises to be an action feast for Balakrishna’s fans.

The third single from the film, Maa Bava Manobhavalu, bringing together Balakrishna, actresses Honey Rose and Chandrika Ravi, was launched amidst viewers in theatres today. Maa Bava Manobhavala is an enjoyable, spirited dance number where Balakrishna is seen shaking a leg with his co-stars and a group of dancers at a local bar. Sahithi Chaganti, Yamini and Renu Kumar have crooned for the song lyricised by Ramajogaiah Sastry.

Right with his opening lines, ‘Chudidaaru Ishtam Anta Aadiki..Vodhanna Endakalam Vediki..Enchakka Thella Cheera Katti..Jallo Mallepoolu Chutti..Ello Lope Mukham Mudusukunnade..’ Ramajogaiah Sastry makes no bones about pandering to the galleries. S Thaman’s super-energetic compisition in addition to the catchy rendition ensure that the song serves its purpose - providing instant gratification. Two other songs - Suguna Sundari, Jai Balayya - received impressive responses from crowds as well.

While Rishi Punjabi cranks the camera, the film is edited by Navin Nooli. Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar are bankrolling the actioner under Mythri Movie Makers. Balakrishna has already begun working on his next, #NBK108, to be directed by Anil Ravipudi, that also stars Sreeleela in a crucial role. He is also hosting the second season of aha’s talk show, Unstoppable with NBK. A special episode with Prabhas, Gopichand in conversation with Balakrishna will be out on December 30.
