Telugu actor Varun Tej’s upcoming film titled Operation Valentine is set to hit big screens on March. Ahead of the release, the film completed its censor formalities and has received a U/A certificate, the makers of the film announced recently.
In Operation Valentine, the actor will be seen playing the role of Wing Commander Rudra. The film is directed by filmmaker Shakti Pratap Singh Hada.

A Telugu-Hindi bilingual, Operation Valentine marks Varun Tej’s Hindi debut. The film is directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada and features the actor taking up the role of Wing Commander Rudra. The film completed the censor formalities recently and received a U/A certificate. The runtime of the film has also been revealed. The film will run for two hours and four minutes, excluding the opening and rolling titles.
A patriotic film which is based on true events, Operation Valentine is based on the Pulwama Attacks that took place in 2019 and the subsequent retaliatory Balakot Air Strikes in the same year by the Indian Army. The film has been mounted on a big budget and is expected to be high on VF works.
The film also stars Manushi Chhillar, Navdeep, Ruhani Sharma, among others in prominent roles. Backed by Sony Pictures and Renaissance Pictures, the film has music by Mickey J Meyer. The film was shot by cinematographer Hari K Vedantam with Naveen Nooli handling the edits.
In an earlier conversation with OTTplay , Varun spoke about learning Hindi for two months in order to get his diction right, and opened up about the film's similarities with Hrithik Roshan's Fighter. He had said, he is aware of the hype that surrounds the topic and revealed that he came to know about Fighter only through halfway the shoot, Varun also mentioned that the way they have taken the narrative of the Pulwama is packed with solid emotions and will be different.
