Varun Tej was last seen in Operation Valentine which was a major flop at the box office.
Varun Tej is going through a string of flops and needs to make a solid comeback. His new film, Matka, has hit a roadblock and is yet to go on floors after a brief half. To make things work, he has teamed up with director Krish for a commercial entertainer. The film is set to be a comedy caper.
The special aspect of this film is that Krish will not direct but produce the film for Varun Tej. Going into details, Merlapaka Gandhi, the talented director, narrated a script to Krish, and he loved it. As he had dates of Varun Tej, he took the project to the mega hero and hence, this project was locked.
Merlapaka Gandhi has directed a few films in the past but he, too, is looking for that one big hit. So, he has now teamed up with Krish and Varun Tej for a biggie. Varun Tej was last seen in the prestigious film Operation Valentine, which was based on the deadly Pulwama attack.
Sadly, the film bombed in no time and put Varun on the back foot. The mega hero is a very talented actor who always defies the norms in Telugu cinema and makes films that are really different in script and approach. A few industry insiders have also suggested that Varun needs to stop experimenting and make commercial films to make a comeback in Telugu cinema.
So, who better than Krish to revive Tej's career is the talk in the film circles. Going back in time, Krishna directed Varun Tej in his second film, and the young hero's performance was appreciated a lot.
So, we need to see what kind of a fun film Gandhi readied for Varun Tej. On the other hand, Krish has backed out of Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which has been kept on a back burner as Pawan Kalyan is busy with his political career. Watch this space for more updates on this project.
