Varun Tej, who’ll be soon getting married to actress Lavanya Tripathi, is having a theatrical release after a year’s gap. His next is an action thriller Gandeevadhari Arjuna, directed by Praveen Sattaru. Agent girl Sakshi Vaidya plays the female lead in the film produced by BVSN Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra. Ahead of its release on August 25, the film’s trailer was launched today.

At the event while interacting with crowds, Varun Tej said he didn’t expect many to turn up for the event and that he was genuinely warmed by your love. “I always wanted to try something new. When Praveen narrated me a story that’s very today and relevant, addressing a problem we’re all facing in 2023, I felt it was my responsibility to do a film like Gandeevadhari Arjuna.”

He promised viewers that there’s more to the film beyond action. Gandeevadhari Arjuna has a strong emotion and it represents the many problems that third-world countries face, he shared. “The film will definitely make you think, help you be more aware. It is releasing in theatres on August 25. I love you all. I am confident the film will impress you.”

The actor congratulated the team of Jailer for its box office success and hoped there’ll be similar euphoria for his uncle Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar tomorrow. His next is an aviation drama alongside Manushi Chillar. He also signed a film titled Matka, where he’ll share screenspace alongside Meenakshii Chaudhary and Nora Fatehi, written and directed by Karuna Kumar.

Meanwhile, Gandeevadhari Arjuna promises intense emotions, high-voltage action in the backdrop of a UN summit addressing climate change. Nasser, Vimala Raman, Vinay Rai, Narain, Roshini Prakash, Manish Chaudhari, Abhinav Gomatam, Ravi Varma, Kalpalatha and Baby Veda form the supporting cast of the thriller. Mickey J Meyer scores the music.
