But one more thing that has kept him in the news is #VD18, which has been making waves for quite some time now. The anticipation around #VD18 has been immense, as it marks Varun’s collaboration with director A. Kaleeswaran. Yesterday, the makers and Varun announced that they would reveal something big today, and the surprise has now been unveiled.

About #VD118 Muhurat Pooja

The latest update reveals that the makers of #VD18 have conducted the muhurat pooja for the project, and glimpses of the same have been shared on the social media handles of the cast and the rest of the team. The video features moments from the muhurat pooja that was attended by Atlee, his wife Priya Atlee, Murad Khetanj, Anees Bazmee, Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and others. it marks the Hindi debut of Sursh and also the big-screen debut of Gabbi, known for her stellar OTT shows including Jubilee, Garahan, Mai, and more.

What's also interesting is that the video includes glimpses from the first day of the shoot. Varun Dhawan can be seen on a makeup chair as prosthetics are being applied to him. A bald head is being created for Varun, and there's a glimpse of the grand set with rich aesthetics. The video has fans excited, as they cannot wait to see more of #VD18. The makers have also confirmed that the title reveal announcement will be made very soon.

Jio Studios presents Atlee's #VD18 in association with A for Apple Studios & Cine1 Studios, directed by A. Kaleeswaran. Produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande, #VD18 stars Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and Wamiqa Gabbi, among others.
