Baby John - Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan had announced the release date of his film Baby John a few months back. The movie, presented by Jawan director Atlee, was scheduled for May 31 release. However, we now hear that the film could be postponed to a further date. The same could be for a month or two from the initial release date.

What we hear

Baby John was scheduled for May 31 release but it appears that the film might now release in June or July. Box Office Worldwide reports the same, stating that sources claim there will be a new official announcement for the same soon. It is to be noted that Baby John would have released in less than 45 days if it went ahead with the original release date.

Reason behind the delay?

The post-production of the movie might take more time. Murad Khetani, who is the producer on the film, it appears, took the decision. He had worked closely with Sandeep Reddy Vanga in his movies Kabir Singh (starring Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani) and Animal (starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri). Since they had already confirmed the date for VD 18 along with the title announcement, the decision to change the date would have been thought through.

Varun grinding on sets

Varun recently shared how he was grinding on the sets of the film. He shot for the movie on day 70 till sunrise and continued shooting even after. “One of the hardest shoots I’ve been on,” his Instagram caption read. The movie is an action-thriller which promises adrenaline rush like nobody would have experienced before.

Varun’s projects

Apart from Baby John, Varun also has Citadel: Honey Bunny and Call Me Bae, both releasing on Amazon Prime Video. He will also start work on Dulhania 3 aka Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari opposite his Bawaal co-star Janhvi Kapoor. Varun also has Boney Kapoor’s No Entry 2 opposite Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh. On the personal front, he is also expecting to turn a father soon. To say that Varun has his hands full would be an understatement at this point.
