Bollywood is getting a fresh face with Anjini Dhawan, who is the niece of Varun Dhawan. The budding actress is currently gearing up for her big debut with Binny and Family. Today (August 31), Varun dropped some goofy pictures from the trailer launch event on Friday, and it is surely a delight for fans to witness the uncle-niece chemistry.

Actor Varun Dhawan dropped some fun pictures from the trailer launch event of Anjini Dhawan’s upcoming movie. On Friday, the makers launched the trailer of Binny and Family to give a glimpse into the chaotic generational gap narrative. Varun graced his presence at the event to extend his support to his niece and also lauded her for landing a big break in the industry on her own.

Taking to Instagram, Varun dropped a carousel of pictures from the Binny and Family trailer launch. In the pictures, Varun and Anjini are seen posing for goofy pictures. While Varun is looking dashing in a casual fit for the event with a white shirt and brown pants, the star of the night is definitely Anjini Dhawan. The budding star opted for a pretty pink short dress. She elevated her look with minimal makeup, cute accessories, and wavy locks. Soon fans started complementing the uncle-niece duo and dropped hearts on the pictures. “Welcome to the movies @anjinidhawan, ” the Badlapur actor wrote in the caption.

Anjini Dhawan’s debut

Bollywood is all set to welcome another member of the Dhawan family. After David Dhawan’s son Varun Dhawan made a name for his craft and personality, it is now time for his niece to try her luck in the glamour industry. For the unversed, Anjini Dhawan is the daughter of Siddharth Dhawan and Reena Dhawan. Varun Dhawan is a cousin brother of Siddharth. The 24-year-old Anjini is also the granddaughter of veteran actor Anil Dhawan.

Binny and Family features Anjini as a rebellious teenager living in London  and delves into the dynamics of her family with a generational gap twist. The family comedy also stars Pankaj Kapoor, Himani Shivpuri, Rajesh Kumar and Charu Shankar in prominent roles.

Binny and Family is backed by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and produced by Mahaveer Jain. During the trailer launch event, Varun revealed that Anjini grabbed the role on her own and rebuffed the claims of nepotism. “No matter how much I say that she did this on her own, she has bagged the film on her own, it is difficult to believe when you are related to a film family,” the Bhediya actor shared.

Directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy, Binny and Family is slated to release theatrically on September 20.
