Varun Dhawan took one-and-all by pleasant surprise when he announced that he is expecting his first baby with wife Natasha Dalal. Of course, netizens could not keep calm and celebs were among the first to send in congratulations. Among them were Varun's friends, seniors and peers. Arjun Kapoor's comment, especially, will catch your attention. Not just Arjun, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor and Varun’s Citadel India co-star Samantha were also among those who sent their heartfelt congratulations to the couple.

Those who have followed their journey know that Varun and Arjun are old friends. They studied acting together. Arjun's comment is what caught the most attention. He called Varun and Natasha 'daddy and mommy number 1.' This was in reference to Varun's father David Dhawan's movies like Biwi No 1 and Coolie No 1.

The announcement

Varun took the internet by storm when he announced that his wife Natasha Dalal is pregnant and they are expecting their first baby. He shared a monochrome photo of him with pregnant Natasha and their doggo Joey. Varun went down on his knees and kissed Natasha’s big belly while Joey looked into the camera from the sofa chair. The actor shared the announcement with the caption, “We are pregnant. Need all your blessings and love.”

On the work front

Varun announced VD18 a few days back. The same is titled Baby John and will release on May 31. The actor will be seen in Citadel India soon, followed by Stree 2, where he reprises his Bhediya character. He is also a part of Sanki, Call Me Bae, Bhediya 2 and Dulhania 3, among other prominent projects.
