Varun Dhawan and Atlee's untitled action flick gets a release date

After having established himself as a director par excellence down south, Atlee is now all set to bring his magic in Bollywood. The film is Jawan, which stars the King Khan Shah Rukh Khan alongwith Vijay Sethupathi and Nayantara. Even before the film could be released, Atlee had already signed his second project. The second project is with Varun Dhawan. No sooner it was announced, it created extreme curiosity and excitement in the minds of the fans.

Today, Varun Dhawan took to social media and announced the release date of the so-far-untitled film. The actor posted "#VD18 May 31st 2024 in theatres." As for the film, the only information available about the film is that the film has been written and directed by Kalees and is being produced by Murad Khetani and Priya Atlee. The film is being presented by Atlee.

As for Varun Dhawan, he is busy shooting for Raj and DK's much-awaited ‘Citadel’. Besides Varun Dhawan, ‘Citadel’ also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Sikandar Kher. Speaking of Samantha, a few weeks back, she had spoken about her role in a media statement, wherein she said, “The Citadel universe, the interconnected storylines between the productions across the globe, and most importantly, the script of the Indian instalment really excited me. I am thrilled to be a part of this brilliant universe conceptualised by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO.”

Only a few days back, Sikandar Kher had posted ( read ‘revealed’) his look in ‘Citadel’. Those who have witnessed Varun Dhawan and Sikandar Kher in action for the series, simply cannot stop singing the praises about their on-screen dedication towards their respective roles, especially in the action scenes. Speaking of action, there were the recent reports which stated that, the duo of Varun Dhawan and Sikandar Kher underwent an extensive stunt and action training workshops undertaken by Varun Dhawan and Sikandar Kher for their roles in ‘Citadel’. The dedication and commitment shown by both actors in honing their skills underscore the immense level of authenticity and excitement that fans can expect from the series.
