Varshangalkku Shesham, the highly anticipated project which stars Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead roles, is gearing up for its grand release. The movie, which is helmed by multi-faceted talent Vineeth Sreenivasan has created quite a stir on social media with its promising songs and trailer, which were released recently. In a recent interview, director Vineeth extensively spoke about Varshangalkku Shesham and revealed how veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan helped him in recreating the Madras of the 1970s.
In a recent interview with Asianet News, director Vineeth Sreenivasan opened up about creating the world of Varshangalkku Shesham, and made some interesting revelations. The talented director revealed that he narrated the script of the film to the veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan, to know his feedback. Vineeth made this creative decision because the Kilukkam director is one of those senior members of the film industry, who spent their youth in Madras city during the 1970s and 80s.
As expected, Priyadarshan contributed to the Varshangalkku Shesham script in a big way. According to Vineeth Sreenivasan, it was the Chandralekha director who gave him some important details about Swami’s Lodge (which is one of the major backdrops of the film), and its owner Swaminathan. The senior filmmaker also narrated some important incidents that took place in a film studio, and it became a part of the film's narrative, instantly. Well, director Vineeth’s new revelation has clearly raised the expectations over the Pranav Mohanlal-Dhyan Sreenivasan starrer.
The Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial is set in the backdrop of the Malayalam film industry and travels through two different timelines – the 1970s and the present. Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyan Sreenivasan are the protagonists in the film, which features Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead. Nivin Pauly, the popular star is making a cameo appearance in the highly anticipated film. Newcomer Amrith Ramnath has composed the songs and original score for Varshangalkku Shesham. The movie, which is produced by Merryland Cinemas, is slated to release on April 11, 2024.
