Varshangalkku Shesham, the multi-starrer directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, had a great run at the theatres and emerged as a super hit at the box office. However, the Pranav Mohanlal-Dhyan Sreenivasan starrer failed to impress the audiences after its OTT release on Sony LIV. The netizens have been trolling the film heavily for the performance of its leading man Pranav, and some of the scenes. Now, director Vineeth Sreenivasan is being heavily trolled by the cine-goers, for offering popular filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj a role in the film.

Earlier, during the promotional interview of Varshangalkku Shesham, Vineeth Sreenivasan revealed he wanted to cast filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj in a role in the film. However, the Leo director turned down the offer due to his busy schedule. Later, the makers roped in Kalesh Ramanand for the role. However, Kalesh’s character, music director Indradhanush aka Indra, failed to impress the cine-goers after the film’s OTT release. The netizens point out that the character is so insignificant in the film, and the scenes that he appears in are downright silly.

Vineeth Sreenivasan is now being heavily trolled by netizens for offering this unimpressive character to a highly busy filmmaker like Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film fanatics also point out that Kalesh Ramanand’s character Indradhanush is badly written, and the subplot involving him, and Pranav Mohanlal’s character Murali Vishwambharan is just illogical. The Lokesh Kanagaraj fans are now expressing their happiness over the Vikram director’s decision to let go of the film.

Varshangalkku Shesham has been receiving mixed reactions from the audiences. The loyal fans of director Vineeth have been busy defending the project. However, the neutral fans are expressing their disappointment over the half-baked making and unimpressive casting choices and stated that it is Vineeth’s weakest film, so far.
