Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who has her hands full with a flurry of films across multiple languages, had signed another multilingual film Sabari recently. The film, directed by Anil Katz, is a psychological thriller that also features Ganesh Venkatraman, Sashank Siddhamsetty and Mime Gopi in pivotal roles. Sabari, produced by Mahendranath Kondla under Maha Movies, is aimed at audiences across four languages - Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.
Sabari's first schedule took off earlier this week and will go on till the end of this month. The commencement of Sabari has the Naandhi actress pumped up about it. She mentioned that was overjoyed, delighted to be associated with the team. Varalaxmi is confident that audiences would enjoy watching it on the big screen. She'll participate in the film's shoot over the next three months and promised Sabari has lot of surprises in store for crowds.
The film will be shot extensively across various locations in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Kodaikkanal. Director Anil Katz added that Sabari revolves around a mondern-day woman, her aspirations and her individuality. "She would go to any length to fight for her goals. I thought Varalaxmi Sarathkumar represents the strong woman of today and has a vibrant personality. She is a perfect fit for the character and I can't wait to work with her," he added.
The producer hopes to wrap up the entire shoot in the coming two-three months, by June. They aim to shoot at locations across various states so that audiences from various regions could relate to the story. Several artists from multiple languages are part of the cast. Gopi Sundar has been roped in as the composer, while Nani Chamidisetty handles cinematography. Maharshi Kondla is the presenter. Varalaxmi's other high profile projects include NBK 107, Yashoda, and Hanu-Man.
