Varalaxmi Sarathkumar roped in for #NBK107, Nandamuri Balakrishna's next with Gopichand Malineni

Shruti Haasan and Duniya Vijay too play key roles in this mass entertainer produced by Mythri Movie Makers

The team of #NBK107, actor Nandamuri Balakrishna's 107th film with Krack, Balupu director Gopichand Malineni is getting bigger and better by the day. Be it Shruti Haasan's casting as a female lead or Duniya Vijay coming on board as the antagonist, the lineup has surely generated a lot of excitement among movie goers. Now, there's another high-profile addition to the film's cast.

It's official that Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will be a part of NBK107, the makers confirmed today. She plays the role of Jayamma in the film, collaborating second time with Gopichand Malineni after scoring a terrific hit with Krack. "Welcoming our 'Jayamma' the Powerful Performer, @varusarath5 on board to #NBK107 🎉😊 Another Role that you'll all remember with her!," the director tweeted after the official announcement.

Varalaxmi, who also signed Samantha's multilingual Yashoda recently, is delighted to be part of the entertainer as well. The filmmaker Gopichand Malineni has reportedly come up with a powerful script based on true incidents and promises to present his lead actors in never-seen-before avatars. Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar are planning to mount the film on a grand canvas.

The film is touted to be a pucca mass entertainer and is coming with actors who've all scored big hits in their last films, be it Balakrishna with Akhanda, Gopichand Malineni and Shruti Haasan with Krack or Varalaxmi Sarathkumar with Naandhi. The producers, Mythri Movie Makers, are of course on a high after the success of Pushpa: The Rise too.

S Thaman is scoring the music for the film which has cinematography by Rishi Punjabi. Sai Madhav Burra is penning the dialogues for the same while Navin Nooli handles the edits. AS Prakash is the production designer and Chandu Ravipati is the executive producer for the film. Ram-Lakshman are board as stunt directors. NBK107's regular shoot is expected to commence this month.
