Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has written a heartfelt letter after sharing a video of some beautiful moments she had while working on the set of her upcoming sci-fi thriller, Yashoda.

The Sarkar actor has managed to capture the nicest moments with her team as they are seen waving at the camera. Hearsay is that Varalaxmi's character has been positioned on equal footing with Samantha's role.

While the Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal actor plays the lead, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan essay important characters. Sampath Raj, Murali Sharma, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada and Rao Ramesh are also a part of the supporting cast.

The music for Yashoda is composed by Mani Sharma. It is reported that Sarathkumar has an important role in the film, which will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi on August 12.

Yashoda's first trailer was released in May. As Samantha woke up, she found herself in a world she seemed to have disassociated from. She seems unaware that she had been imprisoned. Her holding facility resembles a maze, and the intriguing teaser does pique the interest of the audience. There are no signs that her captor intends to harm or force her into disturbing situations. This raises the question of why she is being held captive.

Yashoda has been produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the Sridevi Movies banner. The film has cinematography by M Sukumar and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh.

Speaking about the making of Yashoda, producer Sivalenka told Cinema Express, "30 to 40% of the scenes happen in a single place. Although we visited many star hotels, shooting for 35-40 days there wasn’t possible. We had practical difficulties. So, we decided to unveil a grand set of two floors worth Rs 3 crore at Nanakramguda’s Ramanaidu Studios under the supervision of art director Ashok, and executed things smoothly.”

Sivalenka was confident that Yashoda would be a perfect follow-up film for Samantha, after The Family Man 2. He said the script was written keeping in mind her presence on the screen. “I am confident that the audience will be engrossed in her role,” he added.
