The shooting of Ranjit Jeyakodi's pan Indian action film Michael, which is being made in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, has been going on for a while now. Bharath Chowdary and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao are bankrolling the big budget project under Sree Venkateswara Cinemas and Karan C Productions.

Gautham Menon and Vijay Sethupathi had come on board earlier to play crucial characters in the movie. The former plays the antagonist in the project, the announcement of which, was made a while ago. Now, the latest on the movie is that actress Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar has joined its cast.

Sundeep took to his Twitter page to welcome the actress to the crew and said that he is able to imagine the response in theatres when he character enters screen. He tweeted, "Take pleasure in welcoming on board on one of favourite Humans/Actors @varusarath5 to the World Of #Michael. I can already imagine the response in the theatres for your entry as this character (sic)." In her reply, Varalaxmi thanked Sundeep and said she's excited to work with him.

Divyansha Kaushik, who made her Tamil debut with the yet-to-be released Siddharth-starrer Takkar, is essaying the female lead in the film. The team is currently busy with the shooting of its second schedule.

Sundeep and Varalaxmi had earlier joined hands for Tollywood film Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) which released in 2019. Interestingly, Vijay Sethupathi has played a pivotal character in Santhosh Sivan's Mumbaikar, which is the Hindi remake of Sundeep-starrer Maanagaram (streaming on Amazon Prime Video).

Last seen in Tamil in Kasada Tabara (streaming on SonyLIV), Sundeep has Karthick Naren's long-pending thriller Naragasooran in his kitty, while Sethupathi has a slew of releases awaiting in different languages.
