Varaham: The Suresh Gopi-starrer mystery thriller to be an Onam release?

Varaham - The most recent poster also provided a peek at the roles portrayed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Fans of the actor are now hoping that the movie will open during Onam.

Suresh Gopi's Varaham

Varaham, the upcoming Malayalam movie starring Suresh Gopi, is set to hit theatres soon, according to a poster released by the film's makers. The most recent poster also provided a peek at the other crucial roles portrayed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Prachi Tehlan and Navya Nair also feature in this movie. Santhosh Keezhattoor, Sarayu, Sreejith Ravi, and Sadiq make up Varaham's supporting cast.

Varaham expected to be an Onam release?

Fans of the actor are now hoping that the movie will open during Onam, thanks to the latest poster. If so, Varaham will be released in theatres alongside a few other eagerly awaited films, including Ajayante Randam Moshanam and Bazooka.

It’s release in theatres in April was previously announced by the film's creators. The release of some of Malayalam's most anticipated projects in 2024, like Varshangalkku Shesham and Aavesham, may have led to the delay because there were fewer screens available for the mystery drama in April. Given that the lead actor, Suresh Gopi, was a candidate in the 2024 Lok Sabha Election and may not have participated in the film's promotions, the producers may have been hesitant to release the film in April.

In the 43-second video, the character played by Suresh Gopi asks, "Have you seen Jallikkettu, the bull-taming festival?" He keeps on saying, "The bull slams its head on the ground and charges with force when the players grasp its hump”. The bull is attempting to deceive the player into believing that its head has touched the ground, as the character also seems to clarify. He continues, "The bull actually planned that exact moment to position itself to attack the player with its horns."

All in all, the teaser, which was out recently, clearly depicts Suresh Gopi in a role that has not been seen before. Nevertheless, it has not given any new information about the plot or character insights into the other actors.
