The movie bankrolled by 2D Entertainment kicked off this year in Kanyakumari,
Suriya and Bala
Fans of Suriya were excited when he officially announced his reunion with Bala a year ago. The actor was all praise for the filmmaker's talent and bankrolled the project which was eventually titled Vanangaan. The film's shooting commenced earlier this year in Kanyakumari.
Krithi Shetty was roped in to play the female lead and GV Prakash was brought on board to compose music. A while ago, there were reports of the actor-filmmaker duo struggling with each other owing to creative differences between them. Recently, Suriya himself announced the decision to opt out of the movie.
Movie buffs were curious to know if the film would be shelved. There was speculation doing the rounds on who would replace Suriya in the movie which has been titled as Achaludu in Telugu. Atharvaa, with whom Bala worked in Paradesi, was said to be playing the role.
But as per the latest reports, we hear that Arun Vijay would be brought on board to essay the character which was supposed to be enacted by Suriya. An official confirmation on the same is awaited, though. Bala and Arun Vijay never worked together, and hence, cinephiles are eagerly waiting to see how their combination would work.
Arun's first theatrical release this year, Yaanai, too, was said to be written for Suriya. Director Hari had the latter in his mind while scripting the actioner, but he went ahead with the Sinam star. Arun, who has had four releases this year, has around half-a-dozen movies currently in his kitty.
The long-delayed projects Borrder and Vaa Deal are yet to see the light of the day, while he has Agni Siragugal and Boxer, too, awaiting release. Achcham Enbadhu Illayae is the latest project he committed a while ago.
