Valimai trailer: Ajith is at his best in this action-packed trailer which gives you an adrenaline rush

The trailer of one of the most anticipated films of the season, Valimai, has finally been unveiled. The three-minute video has more detailing on the characters played by Ajith and Kartikeya Gummakonda, who will be seen essaying the protagonist and antagonist in the film respectively.

It also involves more shots from the much-hyped bus stunt sequences, bike chase scenes, shooting and fist fights, all performed by Ajith himself. Huma Qureshi, Sumithra, GM Sundar and Gurbani, who are expected to play key roles in the action thriller, are also seen in the trailer.

Ajith plays Arjun, a bike racer turned cop whose life revolves around his family. How he starts taking revenge against a bunch of ruthless gangsters who destroy his dear ones forms Valimai's story. The star was last seen playing a cop in Gautham Menon's Yennai Arindhaal which released almost seven years ago.

Yuvan Shankar Raja's background score, unsurprisingly, is one of the major positive aspects of the trailer, apart from Dhilip Subbarayan's impressive action episodes. Nirav Shah has cranked the camera for the film which has editing by Vijay Velukutty. Yogi Babu and Raj Ayyappa are other actors who play important characters in the film.

Through the trailer, the makers have once again confirmed that Valimai will hit the screens for Pongal. However, they didn't come up with an official release date this time, too, leaving fans confused. According to sources, it is expected that the film will release on January 13.

Valimai is expected to have its digital premiere on Zee5 after a month of its theatrical release. Produced by Boney Kapoor's Bay View Projects, the movie marks the second collaboration of him along with Ajith and director Vinoth. The trio will team up again for a project soon after the release of Valimai.
