After being flooded with a plethora of offensive calls due to his phone number being shown in Vakeel Saab, a Telugu businessman filed a police complaint against the makers of the Pawan Kalyan-starrer.

The movie, which released in theatres on April 7, dropped on Amazon Prime Video on April 30 and since then the Hyderabad-based entrepreneur’s phone has reportedly not stopped ringing.

In one of the film’s scenes, the antagonist morphs a character’s photo and displays a phone number on the screen. The number apparently belongs to a businessman named Sudhakar, who received offensive calls from unknown people since the film’s release. His police complaint filed against the makers for using his personal number without permission, states that the vulgar language used by the miscreants has disrupted his life and affected his mental health.

The producers of Vakeel Saab had earlier too landed in trouble when they showcased actress model Sakshi Malik’s photos without her permission in Nani’s V. The Bombay High Court had then ordered them to delete those portions from the film.

Vakeel Saab is the Telugu remake of the 2016 Hindi film Pink, which was co-written and directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and had Amitabh Bachchan along with Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, and Andrea Tariang.

Vakeel Saab has Pawan Kalyan, Nivetha Thomas, Anjali, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj, and Shruthi Haasan as part of the cast. The film revolves around three independent women, who unwillingly commit a crime and get caught up in legal trouble. Pawan Kalyan plays the lawyer, who steps forward to help them.
