Vaazha - Biopic of a Billion Boys, which released in theatres on August 15, is drawing large crowds to big screens. The audience is giving it a lot of praise because of its humorous element and the actors' relatable performances.

The film's director, Anand Menon, discussed why the humour in the movie resonates with viewers in a conversation with OTTplay. He made a claim that the actors' liberty and ability to improvise contributed to the film's witty quality.

The young director continued, "Vipin Das stressed that we would explain the scene and leave the rest to the actors, giving them an opportunity to bring spontaneity to their dialogue as well as mannersims." "It was also enjoyable while filming Vaazha," he remarked.

“Confident about the cast from the beginning”

Anand asserted that since the cast members had previously collaborated and been his friends, they had been confident in them from the start. "We never had any doubts about this movie's actors or plot. I trusted my producers, and they were my biggest asset," he said. The director stated that they firmly felt that Vaazha's selling point is how fresh the content is. "Many suggested that we include some well-known industry people in the project, but we were very confident in this cast because of their chemistry and energy," he continued.

“Didn’t take a purposeful gap after Gauthamante Radham”

The 2021 film Gauthamante Radham marked Anand's directorial debut. He stated that the gap he took to work on his second film was not intentional. "First and foremost, I seek out projects that truly excite me. Screenplay is a time-consuming process because I write slowly and generally take one step at a time, he said. The director continued by stating that he is currently working on a few other projects and the scripts for them, and that he will soon be acting in a major Malayalam film. Amazon Prime Video is currently streaming Gauthamante Radham, which stars Neeraj Madhav, Renji Panicker, and Punya Elizabeth.
