It was announced recently that Pon Manickavel starring Prabhu Deva and Nivetha Pethuraj in lead roles, will have a direct release on Disney+ Hotstar on November 19. Directed by AC Mugil Chellappan, the action flick has Suresh Menon, Baahubali fame Prabhakar and Mahendran among others playing important roles.

The makers have now released a video song from the film featuring the lead actors. Titled Uthira Uthira the song which has Sreekanth Hariharan, Shreya Ghoshal and Maria Roe Vincent lending voice, has D Imman composing it. Madhan Karky has penned the lyrics for the same.

The three-and-a-half minute romantic song begins with Prabhu Deva surprising Nivetha with a bike to celebrate a happy occasion. The melody track which kindle sensual mood has them getting intimate and shaking a leg. Cinematographer KG Venkatesh's pleasing visuals and Imman's music play vital roles in helping the song leave an impact among the viewers.

The voice of Sreekanth Hariharan, Shreya Ghoshal and Maria Roe Vincent are another positive aspect of the track leaving the listeners wanting for more. The chemistry between Prabhu and Nivetha are icing on the cake as far as the entertainment quotient of the song is considered.

Produced by V Hitesh Jhabak under the banner of Nemichand Jhabak, the movie seems to be based on a real incident which happened in Tamil Nadu a while ago. The makers had released a new trailer of the movie recently after they surprised movie buffs with the announcement regarding its OTT premiere.

Pon Manickavel which was supposed to have a theatrical release in early 2020, was postponed further owing to the onslaught of COVID-19 which hit the country.
