Ustaad Bhagat Singh, the Telugu remake of Theri, adapted and directed by Harish Shankar, went on floors earlier this year. The film stars Pawan Kalyan, Sreeleela in the lead and is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers. After his extensive political campaign, continuous shoots for Bro, OG, Pawan Kalyan is set to resume shooting for the entertainer.

A new schedule of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, where the team will shoot key action sequences from the film, will begin today. Confirming the news, the production house on Monday tweeted, “All set for the MASSIVE ACTION SCHEDULE. The shoot of #UstaadBhagatSingh resumes tomorrow.” Harish Shankar was surrounded by a flurry of weapons and props in an image shared by the team.

However, reports now suggest that incessant rains in Hyderabad have delayed the commencement of the new schedule. It remains to be seen how the team will deal with the tricky scenario, given Pawan Kalyan’s packed schedule. Meanwhile, grapevine is abuzz with rumours that Sakshi Vaidya was recently roped in as another female lead for the project. An official confirmation is still awaited.

The film revolves around how a sensational case and a personal tragedy triggers the transformation of a ferocious cop. Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, KGF fame Avinash, Gauthami, Narra Srinu, Naga Mahesh, and Temper Vamsi play other key roles in the action entertainer. K Dasaradh has written the screenplay for the cop saga which has cinematography by Ayananka Bose. Chota K Prasad is the editor.

C Chandramohan, who directed the web show ATM and Sharwanand’s Radha earlier, is also writing for Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The project marks the comeback of noted production designer Anand Sai. Ram-Laxman are the stunt directors. The film is expected to hit screens in 2024. A recent poster of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, released on Pawan Kalyan’s birthday, received encouraging responses.
