The actress shared it was a privilege to have worked with two of the finest dancers in Telugu cinema
Urvashi Rautela is now the first choice of star Telugu filmmakers whenever they’re on the lookout for an actress to feature in a peppy party number. While she stole the show in Waltair Veerayya’s Boss Party, she continued her good run with My Dear Markandeya in Bro. She was recently seen in Cult Mama, a special song in Skanda, the Ram Pothineni- Sreeleela starrer helmed by Boyapati Sreenu.

Cult Mama, which was out yesterday, is sung by Hema Chandra and Ramya Behera, with lyrics by Raghuram. S Thaman is the composer. Within a day’s time, the Telugu version of the number has gone past the 10 million mark and the stats look impressive for the Hindi version too (nearly 2.3 million views) followed by Malayalam and Tamil. Urvashi opened up on working for Cult Mama recently.
“Working with Ram Pothineni was fantabulous, he is such an amazing dancer. I still remember while shooting with Chiranjeevi (sir) for Boss Party, he said I was lucky to have started my career by working two of Telugu cinema’s finest dancers - himself, followed by Ram. What Chiranjeevi said was absolutely true and I had such an amazing experience working with Ram,” the actress shared.
The actress added how Ram always gave his best on sets and was very prepared for the shots, mostly okayed in the first take. He never took the second and third takes, she stated. Urvashi said it was always great to work with someone who’s so professional and skilled. Happy for the thumping response for the promos and songs, she asked viewers to watch the film in theatres on September 28.
Srinivasaa Chitturi is bankrolling the film under Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Santosh Detake is the cinematographer for the multi-lingual project whose release date underwent multiple changes after the postponement of Prabhas’ Salaar. Disney+ Hotstar has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights.
