It's Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja's 80th birthday today and on the special occasion, an unreleased song from the film Megha (2014) was released. The song, titled 'Enna Venum Eathu Venum' is a melodious number and a video which provides a glimpse into the making of the song was also released along with it. The song is sung by singers Karthik and Priyadarshini.
Megha is a romantic thriller, which was written and directed by Karthik Rishi, a former associate of ace director Subramaniam Siva. The star cast for the film includes Ashwin Kakumanu, Srushti Dange and Angana Roy. The film's soundtrack and background music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.

In the meantime, the composer is all set for his music concert to be held in Coimbatore today, on the occasion of his birthday. Ilaiyaraaja had recently visited Superstar Rajinikanth at his residence in Chennai. After the meeting, Rajinikanth had asked Ilaiyararaaja if he had any work, for which the music mastero had responded to him saying that he was heading to the rehearsal for his concert in Coimbatore.
Rajinikanth then invited himself for the rehearsal and took Ilaiayraaja on a ride in his own car. It seems the Superstar spent quite some time listening to the songs and also clapped along with the singers. Ilaiyaraaja had scored music for a number of films of Rajinikanth and their friendship dates many years
About the music concert in Coimbatore, Ilaiyaraaja had shared on his social media page, "happy to perform in Coimbatore on my birthday.. come and enjoy the songs you all love the most.. see you all.. (sic)." Wishes are pouring for the ace composer from all quarters on his birthday.
