The anthology series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on January 21
Saqib Saleem seems to be on a hot streak these days as far as his career is considered. The actor has had his name attached to some popular works of late, including the Ranveer Singh starrer sports biopic 83 and the anthology series Unpaused: Naya Safar. The actor recently opened up about his role in the latter, calling it a "cathartic experience."
The actor talked about how the series essentially taught viewers to view life as a game in which one has to do better and improve themselves to reach the next level. The star also opened up about the difficult time he had during the pandemic, saying that people had to go thru all kinds of losses during it and how uncertain it all was. But nevertheless, he pointed to the incredible resilience people displayed in pushing thru the situation and the inspiring stories they had to tell.
Saleem talked about how he channeled his experience of living thru the pandemic into his performance in the show, saying that it allowed him to have a cathartic experience. He also talked about how the message of the show was to "rekindle hope."
The star also thanked audiences and critics for the positive responses they had given to Unpaused: Naya Safar. The star is filled with hope for the new year, as he says this one has been kind to him.
Saleem essays a role in the episode titled "Teen Tigada" in the series. It follows the story of a group of thieves who steal a truck of appliances, only to find themselves in a jam when a lockdown is announced.
