The movie, directed by Arun Bose, also has Aparna Balamurali as part of the cast
Director Arun Bose, who had previously helmed Tovino Thomas and Ahaana Krishna-starrer Luca, is set to complete the shoot of his second venture, which has Unni Mukundan and Aparna Balamurali. The team is currently in the final stages of shooting the film in Cheruthonni.
The movie, which is yet to be titled, is scripted by Arun along with Mridul George and has award-winning cinematographer Madhu Ambat cranking the camera. The film is bankrolled by National Award-winning director Salim Ahammed.
The team had begun the film’s shoot in December in Ernakulam and had shifted to Cheruthonni in a week. However, the shoot was stalled and they resumed earlier this month. Unni was also busy with the promotions of his debut production Meppadiyan, which released in theatres on January 14.
The upcoming film marks the first time Unni and Aparna are teaming up. Aparna was also part of the debut production venture of Salim Ahammed that is titled Sundari Gardens. The movie, directed by Charlie Davis, has Aparna playing a librarian and Neeraj Madhav, an English teacher.
Meanwhile, Unni will next be seen in Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Bro Daddy, which will release on Disney+ Hotstar on January 26. The movie has him playing an extended cameo as Cyril. The actor will next head to Hyderabad to resume shooting for his big budget movie Yashoda, which has Samantha in the lead.
In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Unni told us, “After Meppadiyan releases, I will be shuffling between industries. I have shot a few scenes in Yashoda and will be joining the team by the end of January. In Telugu, I also have Khiladi and a solo action hero movie.” The actor will also complete Vysakh’s Bruce Lee this year, after which he will begin work on his debut directorial.
