Ullozhukku is getting appreciation from all around the country

Despite initially playing in fewer theatres, the heartbreaking family drama garnered a tonne of praise from viewers when it debuted on Kerala's big screens on June 21. Ullozhukkku is about lies in a dysfunctional household and how they erode relationships and trust. This film tells the story of a family in Kuttanad who had to wait for the floodwaters to subside before burying a loved one. But while they wait, several secrets and lies are revealed, raising questions about the family's relationships.

After Ullozhukku opened in theatres, the public positively acclaimed the film, praising both Urvashi and Parvathy Thiruvothu's performances as well as Christo Tomy's filmmaking style. It released in theatres in the UAE and GCC on June 27.

Viewers described Golam to be a good thriller

Director Samjad's first feature film, Golam, stars Ranjith Sajeev, Siddique and Dileesh Pothen in significant roles. A young police officer looking into the case, played by Ranjith Sajeev, finds something strange about a business owner's death in the lavatory of his establishment. He starts looking into the matter because he thinks it was a well-planned murder, even though the police initially declared the death to be an accident.

This year, Malayalis have been treated to some unusual thrillers, but the Ranjith Sajeev-starrer stands out for its skillfully crafted story and approach to the genre. Golam never fails to enthral audiences, despite the film's predictable moments. The movie received favourable reviews from audiences and performed well at the box office in Kerala.
