UK PM Rishi Sunak's Diwali Gala: Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Preity Zinta light up the celebration

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak hosted a Diwali 2023 party at his residence, 10 Downing Street in London, recently. Preity Zinta, who had previously shared photos on her Instagram page, attended the event. Now she posted another set of photos, which show Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna also in attendance.

In the photos, Akshay Kumar is seen wearing a golden kurta, while Twinkle matches him in an off-white Anarkali suit with golden threadwork. On the other hand, Preity opted for a velvet royal blue sharara. 

The Dil Se actor posted the photos on her Instagram page with a caption stating, "What an incredible Diwali this has been. A heartfelt thank you to Prime Minister @rishisunakmp and his gracious wife @akshatamurty_official for inviting me to be part of this year’s Diwali celebration at Downing Street. It was an honour to celebrate Diwali with him and the people from the Hindu community in the UK. #gratitude #diwali #ting (sic)"

Akshay Kumar's busy schedule

Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay Kumar has a series of films lined up. The actor has been filming his maiden Marathi film, titled Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat in which he plays the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The actor is also playing the lead role and co-producing the Hindi remake of the Tamil film, Soorarai Pottru. He has also been shooting for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and co-starring Tiger Shroff. 

Moreover, Akshay recently announced Sky Force which marks the acting debut of Veer Pahariya. Also, the actor has been shooting for Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, in which he reprises his role as DCP Veer Sooryavanshi for the third time. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
