Twinkle Khanna talks about Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’ the 'Mrs Funnybones' way: ‘My old friend cast the wrong people...’

Twinkle Khanna informed her fans today that she has earned an exceptional distinction for her final dissertation from a college in London.

Twinkle Khanna is not just a talented Bollywood actor, but also a world-famous author. Even after being a mother of two grown-up kids and being financially well-settled, she did not give up on her dream to start her Master's in Fiction Writing at a prestigious London-based university. Today, the author-columnist received an exceptional distinction for her final dissertation. She thanked everyone who supported her in the journey including filmmaker Karan Johar with a special message.

Eminent filmmaker Karan Johar and Bollywood celebrity Twinkle Khanna are childhood friends. Often, they have funny conversations with each other which end up trending on social media. Today too, Twinkle has begun an interesting conversation with Karan.

Taking to microblogging site X, Twinkle Khanna wrote, “A big moment, and at first, I was hesitant about sharing it. But it goes to show that age is truly just a number and doesn't hinder you from achieving your goals. I received an exceptional distinction for my final dissertation, which has now also been longlisted for the Pat Kavanagh Prize by Goldsmiths, University of London. May I add that perhaps my old friend cast the wrong people in 'Student of the Year.' :)"

With this message, it is evident that Twinkle took a jibe at Karan Johar’s movie ‘Student of the Year’ in a funny way.

Responding to this post, Karan Johar sweetly said, "Congratulations my darling always proud of you and you are right! You are the eternal student of the year."

Akshay Kumar commented, "Congratulations Tina. I also give you the exceptional distinction every year for being the best mom to our kids but this one is so special. Thank you for making us all so proud."

While Student of the Year was declared a superhit film in 2012, Student of the Year 2 struggled to mint money at the box office in 2019 owing to its poor storyline. Both these films were produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions.
