Vaishnavi Dhanraj, best known for her roles in Na Aana Iss Des Laado, Bepannaah and Madhubhala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, has filed a domestic violence case against her family. She has accused them of holding her hostage and has now registered a case against them. The actress had shared a video in which she also showed her bruises on hand and face (her lips). She has now posted an Instagram story which only reads help.

Vaishnavi asks for help

Vaishnavi, who was also a part of the iconic TV show CID, shared a video from the Kashimira Police Station. She pleaded for help from the news channels and people from the industry. In the video, the actress revealed that she is in talks with Himanshu Shukla.

Family held her hostage?

“I’m in Kashmira police station and I have been abused by my family. I’ve been hit really badly,” she said and showed the bruise on her face and hand. Both the areas appeared to be fresh wounds.

She also reportedly mentioned being in trouble and claiming that her life is in danger. The actress said that her family is not allowing her to move out, thus hinting that she was held hostage in their house.

About Vaishnavi

On the work front, Vaishnavi has not appeared on the small screen for quite a period of time. She had previously requested divorce from her husband Nitin Sehrawat. The actress accused him of domestic violence, which became the root cause of their separation. She had mentioned in an interview that she could have worked things out with him but it was owing to the violence that she decided that parting ways was a better option.
