Turbo, the highly anticipated film that marks the reunion of megastar Mammootty and filmmaker Vysakh is gearing up for its grand theatrical release. The mass action thriller, which features the veteran actor as the titular character, Turbo Jose, is slated to hit theatres on May 23, 2024. As per the recent updates, the much-awaited official trailer for the project is gearing up for its release. The makers of the Mammootty starrer recently dropped a major update on the Turbo trailer with a social media post.
Turbo trailer to be released soon?
Recently, Mammootty Kampany, the home banner of leading man Mammootty which has bankrolled Turbo took to their official social media handles and dropped a major update on the project. “Cooking something special #Turbo,” reads the official social media post of the production banner, which also consists of a picture from the mixing monitor. From the new update, it is safe to assume that director Vysakh and his team are all set to release the much-awaited Turbo trailer very soon.

The new update came out as a big relief for Mammootty fans and cine-goers, who were disappointed with the lack of updates from the Turbo team. Apart from the first look poster and the release date announcements, the makers of the mass action film have not revealed anything about the project officially so far. But recent reports suggest that the makers are planning a small yet extensive promotional campaign for the film ahead of its release.

Turbo to go the ‘Kannur Squad’ way?
According to the grapevine, Mammootty Kampany, the production banner that bankrolls Turbo, is planning to follow the same marketing strategy used for its 2023 blockbuster Kannur Squad for the Vysakh directorial. The movie might not get an extensive online promotion with back-to-back posters, teasers, and singles. However, leading man Mammootty and his team might attend a grand pre-release press event and multiple interviews ahead of the film’s release.
