Mammootty continues to be busy promoting Turbo, his next movie, which is scheduled to premiere in theatres worldwide on May 23. Malayalam's Megastar, along with the scriptwriter Midhun Manuel Thomas and other cast members of the action-drama, is currently in Qatar to talk about the film. Meanwhile, the actor boldly commented about the failure of films in other industries at a press conference that was held there.

The actor said that viewers are accountable for the changes in the film industry when asked if the success of Malayalam cinema's evolution can be attributed to the audience's shifting mindset. "Great content will undoubtedly receive positive feedback from the audience. He asserted that when audiences are willing to adapt and let go of limiting beliefs, quality filmmaking emerges.

The Bramayugam star highlighted that the Malayali audience's attendance at theatres and positive reactions to films are the only reasons why movies are successful in this region. He made the observation that the films of the other film industries are failing to make an impact in theatres because the makers do not recognise or comprehend the preferences of their audiences.

Social media users have praised the actor's statement that the public controls the changes in the film industry. A user noted that in a recent interview, young star Fahadh Faasil had also mentioned that in the next five years, Malayalam filmmakers would have the flexibility to release any kind of film. Some have also cited the box office triumphs of Manjummel Boys, Bramayugam, and Aadujeevitham as proof that films of exceptional quality never fail to leave an impression on viewers.

Turbo to release on May 23

Turbo, which is directed by Vysakh is getting ready for a big theatrical release this week. The film has generated a great deal of excitement among viewers because of its intriguing trailer, which was unveiled a few days ago. Recent reports state that Turbo has been experiencing unusually high rates of advance booking and that its pre-sales have already surpassed the Rs. 2 crore threshold.
