Turbo to stream on Sony LIV

The film is expected to stream on Sony LIV in five languages. In line with every other recent Malayalam movies that debuted on various OTT platforms, the Vysakh-directed movie will also be accessible in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. Following the release of his phenomenally successful period horror thriller Bramayugam in February, this is Mammootty's second project to be bought by the popular streaming platform. Considering the anticipation around this movie, they might have also paid a significant amount for its digital rights.

All about Mammootty’s Turbo

In Vysakh's full-fledged action drama, the protagonist, Turbo Jose, is a resident of Idukki who is forced to travel to Chennai after doing a favour that nearly destroys a young couple's relationship. He becomes entangled in a larger conspiracy in Chennai, one that includes police, underworld groups, and business tycoons there. The film is also expected to mark a beginning of a franchise that might see Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi’s return to Malayalam cinema.

Even after Kalki 2898 AD was released, Turbo is still playing in theatres and is being screened in all of Kerala's major cities. According to reports, the film has already earned over Rs 7o crore in total revenue at the global box office, continuing Malayalam industry's winning streak this year. However, Turbo, which had a great start at the box office, saw a significant decline in its earnings in Kerala in the consecutive weeks.
