Turbo - Antony Varghese Pepe to play a key role in Mammootty and Vysakh’s mass action film; say reports

Antony Varghese Pepe is reportedly roped in to play a pivotal role in megastar Mammootty’s upcoming mass action film, Turbo. The shooting of the Vysakh directorial is currently in progress.

Turbo, the upcoming mass action movie, that features megastar Mammootty in the lead role, recently garnered the attention of the audience with its promising first look poster. The project which is helmed by Vysakh, and penned by writer-director Midhun Manuel Thomas, started rolling a few weeks back in Kochi. As per the recent updates, popular actor Antony Varghese Pepe has joined the star cast of the Mammootty starrer.

If the latest reports are to be believed, Antony Varghese Pepe has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Turbo. The young actor, who is best known for his stellar performances in action films, is said to be playing an action-packed role in the Vysakh directorial. In that case, the much-awaited project will mark Antony Varghese Pepe’s first onscreen collaboration with megastar Mammootty.

However, the makers of Turbo have not reacted to the speculations regarding the RDX actor’s addition to its star cast, yet. The recent updates suggest that the team will officially welcome the young actor to the Mammootty starrer by releasing an official poster, very soon.

Mammootty to play Turbo Jose

For the uninitiated, leading man Mammootty is set to play yet another ‘Achayan’ character of his career in Turbo. The project marks the megastar’s reunion with hitmaker Vysakh, after the massive success of the 2019-released commercial entertainer, Madhura Raja.

As per the reports, the veteran actor is playing the role of Turbo Jose, a powerful man who travels to another state with a special mission, in the project. However, the megastar’s character is also rumored to be having a touch of humour.

About Turbo

Along with Mammootty, the highly anticipated project features a stellar star cast including renowned Kannada actor-filmmaker Raj B Shetty, senior Telugu actor Sunil, popular Tamil actor Arjun Das, and others. The makers are yet to reveal the female lead and other supporting cast of Turbo, which is currently nearing the final stages of its shooting. The project, which is bankrolled by Mammootty Kampany, is expected to hit the theatres by mid-2024.
