Tumbbad

Tumbbad re-release Box Office collection day 7: Tumbbad, which was declared a flop at the Box Office back when it was released in 2018, is on its way to turning into a superhit soon. The movie has crossed its lifetime run within a week of re-releasing in theatres in 2024. Yes, it minted the Box Office collections from the lifetime run of the original release within a week of its re-release. The movie has crossed the Rs. 12 crore-mark and is now looking at Rs. 15 crore weekend, if not Rs. 20 crore.

Tumbbad Box Office collection in week 1

On day 7, i.e. within a week of its release, Sohum Shah's Tumbbad earned Rs. 13.44 crore. The movie earned Rs. 1.33 crore on day 7, which was a slight yet expected dip from day 6 (Rs. 1.42 crore). The movie has otherwise earned over Rs. 1.50 crore since day 1, with a Box Office collection of Rs. 2.65 crore on Saturday and Rs. 3.04 crore on Sunday. Thus, it is now closer to earning Rs. 15 crore, which is also the original budget of the film.

The future for Tumbbad re-release

There aren't many big releases this week either. Thus, Tumbbad is likely to continue its run at the Box Office. Siddhant Chaturvedi's Yudhra might give it some competition, but that's about it. Kareena Kapoor's The Buckingham Murders already is struggling at the Box Office and could not give competition to Tumbbad, which re-released in the same week as The Buckingham Murders' release.

Tumbbad could benefit most on Friday

To top it up, there is an offer on Friday to pull more people to theatres. This could end up benefitting Tumbbad at the Box Office more than other movies at this point. By 6 pm on Thursday itself, 65000 tickets were booked for Tumbbad, and this is just in multiplexes alone. Thus, it sure appears that Tumbbad will reach, if not cross Rs. 25 crore at the Box Office, and change its status from being a flop film to a superhit. It is to be noted that the film is already considered a cult classic among the fans, and it continues to be showered with more love with its time at the Box Office.
