Trisha is all set to join the growing list of top stars, who are making their mark in the OTT space. Her upcoming web series Brinda, which has been in production for over a year, is getting ready for premiere in 2024.

Brinda is originally shot in Telugu and it revolves around a police investigation in Andhra Pradesh. It will be one of the high-profile releases for SonyLIV this year in Telugu. Even though the series is a cop drama, the filmmakers have reportedly included certain folklore elements, giving the series a mythological and spiritual heft.

SonyLIV, however, has yet to officially announce the premiere date for Brinda. The series is directed by Surya Vangala, who has earlier assisted filmmakers such as Anish Yohan Kuruvilla, Sekhar Kammula and Hanu Raghavapudi.

Last year, the showrunners released a small behind-the-scenes clip showcasing Trisha in a police uniform. At this moment, it's unclear whether Brinda is inspired by any real-life incidents in the Telugu state.

Besides Trisha, Brinda also stars Sai Kumar, Amani, Indrajith Sukumaran, Ravindra Vijay, and others in the supporting cast.

In the meantime, Trisha is busy shooting for her upcoming projects including Vidaa Muyarchi. Starring Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar, the production of Vidaa Muyarchi is happening in Azerbaijan. She also recently shot for an upcoming Malayalam movie titled Identity, which stars Tovino Thomas in the lead role.

Trisha is basking in the success of back-to-back hits. Last year, she began the year with the release of Ponniyin Selvan 2. Written and directed by ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam, the film achieved significant success at the box office. She followed that success with The Road, which became one of the highest-grossing solo movies in her career. And she ended the year with Leo, starring Thaalapthy Vijay in the lead. Leo grossed over Rs 620 crore, becoming the highest-grossing Tamil movie of the year.
