Trisha's next Raangi, which is helmed by M Saravanan is all set to hit screens tomorrow. The film has Trisha playing a journalist. Going by the trailer, Raangi was touted to be an action film, where Trisha does some high-octane stunts and delivers punch dialogues. But the actress has now clarified in an interview during the promotions of the film that Raangi is not an action film.

"I don't want to mislead the audience. Raangi is not an action film. I play a regular person with a teeny attitude in the film, who is forced into doing some action."

Talking about her character as a journalist, Trisha says, "Hats off to all the journalists. Take for instance, Barkha Dutt, or anyone who has done well in the field, they are extremely fearless. Journalists also have a sense of curiosity in them where they want to know things. Director Saravanan has imbibed all those qualities in my character. My character doesn't care how she looks. She gets out just putting a ponytail because she wants to be the first person to break the story.``

When asked if she would be playing only women-oriented films, Trisha says,"I am used to playing strong characters. There was a time when I was doing two-three women-centric films continuously, some of which I may not have chosen with utmost care. But now, I am being more careful because I owe my audiences some content and impact."

She added that she also preferred multi-starrers because it was fun on the set. "I love a lot of people on the set and I had a gala time during the shoot of Ponniyin Selvan. Also when you do a women-centric film, you are shooting continuously and it can get tiring. But in multi-starrers, you get to take breaks in between. It's like a holiday on set when you are not shooting."
