Actor Trisha, who completed 22 years in the film industry, took to social media to celebrate and posted a photograph. The actor made her debut with the 2002 romantic drama film Mounam Pesiyadhe, which released on the same day 22 years ago.

Trisha makes special post for 22 years in cinema

Trisha, who was last seen in a special appearance in The Goat, completes 22 years in the film industry. The actor is part of some big films in the upcoming and has worked across the south film industries. To celebrate her milestone, Trisha made a special post on social media.

Posting a photograph of herself with a monkey resting on her shoulders, Trisha captioned it, “Honoured to be part of this magic called cinema for 22 years. Thank you all.”

Trisha made her silver screen debut with the Mounam Pesiyadhe, a romantic drama directed by Ameer in his debut. Trisha starred opposite Suriya in the film, which is available for streaming on Aha Tamil. Mounam Pesiyadhe is also available on OTTplay Premium app. The film revolves around a restaurant owner who falls in love with a girl his friend is decided to marry. Mounam Pesiyadhe became a success upon its release, and was remade in Telugu as Aadanthe Ado Type.

Trisha’s upcoming line-up

Trisha is part of major projects across Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam industries. The actor is part of Ajith Kumar’s upcoming two films, Good Bad Ugly and Vidaa Muyarchi. Apart from this, she also has Malayalam film Identity, opposite actor Tovino Thomas and scheduled to release in January 2025.

In the later half of 2025, Trisha’s Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Mani Ratnam will be releasing. In Telugu, the actor will be pairing opposite Chiranjeevi in Vishwambhara. There are also reports that Trisha is part of Suriya 45 directed by RJ Balaji.
