Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin revealed striking news about the historical drama, along with Nine Voyages
George R.R. Martin, Game of Thrones
While fans are eagerly waiting for House of Dragons Season 2, George R.R. Martin took a moment in a recent blog post to offer his thoughts on the TV landscape and reveal a hidden gem. He declared his love for Blue Eye Samurai, the Netflix action series, before diving into the world of Westeros. Addressing the many in-development projects since November, Martin provided cryptic hints and updates, leaving fans to wonder and speculate on the future of their beloved saga.
House of the Dragon Season 3 and 4
Back in early December last year, Martin revealed that House of the Dragon’s Seasons 3 and 4 are already under construction. He shared that he is already in meetings with the makers. Martin wrote on his blog that “It is (House of the Dragon Season 2) going to take four full seasons of ten episodes each to do justice to the Dance of the Dragons, from start to finish.”
About Game of Thrones animated shows
At the end of 2023, the author dropped another bomb about Game of Thrones. He shared that the historical drama will have three animated versions now. “As it happens, HBO and I have our own animated projects, set in the world of A SONG OF ICE & FIRE.” Martin wrote in his personal blog, “None of them have been greenlit yet, but I think we are getting close to taking the next step with a couple of them. When this last round of development started a few years ago, we had four ideas for animated shows, with some great talents attached. Writers rooms and summits, outline and scripts followed in due course, but, alas, two of the original projects were subsequently shelved.”
Details about the 3 animated spin-offs
Among the three, two animated shows are based on Game of Thrones, and one will be House of the Dragon’s Nine Voyages. The animated shows will tell the story of a brave sailor named Corlys Velaryon, who explores a land called Essos, just like he did in House of the Dragon Season 1.
House of the Dragon Season 2 release date
