Vijay Sethupathi’s next film is a thriller titled Train, which is directed by Mysskin. The film is currently under production and the latest update is that Telugu actress Dimple Hayathi (of Ramabanam fame) has been onboarded to play an important role in the film.
Dimple Hayathi was last seen in the Tamil films Devi 2 and Veerame Vaagai Soodum. The actress is set to play a pivotal role in Train, which also stars Ira Dayanand, Nassar, Vinay Rai, Bhavana, Sampath Raj, Babloo Prithviraj, KS Ravikumar, Yugi Sethu, Ganesh Venkatraman, Kaniha, Diya Seetipalli, Singam Puli, Sriranjani, Ajay Rathnam, Thrigun Arun, and Raichal Rabecca.

The first look from the film had the Jawan actor in a new avatar. In the poster, which is set on a railway track, Vijay is seen flaunting a thick beard and moustache. It also has the tagline, #TheJourneyBegins. The posters hint that the movie is set in a specific timeline and that Vijay sports two looks in the period drama.

The actor-director duo has previously collaborated on Pisasu II, in which Vijay had a 16-minute-long cameo as a doctor. Vijay’s upcoming projects include Sriram Raghavan’s thriller Merry Christmas, which also stars Katrina Kaif. The movie is set to be released in theatres on January 12, 2024. Meanwhile, his other films, Viduthalai Part 2 and Maharaja, are at different stages of production.
