The trailer of the upcoming Tamil film Hot Spot, featuring an ensemble star cast including Janani, Kalaiyarasan, among others, were released by the makers on social media on Monday. The film is set to hit big screens on March 29. Hot Spot is directed by Vignesh Karthik and stars Kalaiyarasan, Gouri G Kishan, Adithya Bhaskar Sofia, Sandy, Ammu Abhirami, and Janani among the others.

The makers of Hot Spot released the trailer of the film on Monday. The film is scheduled to release on March 29.
The trailer of the film begins by hinting that Hot Spot is for adult audience with mature understanding. The trailer then moves to a voiceover that says a court has ordered a 23-year-old to marry the 30-year-old he had molested. Filled with cuss words, controversial statements on masturbation, incest, sexual intercourse, feminism to name a few, the video is interspersed with statements like today's right can be yesterday's wrong and vice versa.
From the looks of the trailer, Hot Spot seems to be a film that will touch upon controversial viewpoints of certain topics that is considered taboo by the society.
Vignesh Karthik, who has previously made films like Thittam Irandu, and Adiyae, has directed Hot Spot. Kalaiyarasan, Gouri G Kishan, Adithya Bhaskar Sofia, Sandy, Ammu Abhirami, and Janani round off the cast.
Hot Spot is produced by KJ Balamanimarbhan, Suresh Kumar and Gokul Benoy. With cinematography by Gokul Benoy, Hot Spot has music scored by Satish Raghunathan and Vaan. Muthayan U is the editor. Dinesh Kannan is presenting this film under his banner Sixer Entertainment.
Vignesh Karthik began his filmmaking career with YouTube film Shamefully Yours. Known to address topics that are considered taboo by the society, Vignesh has directed two feature films earlier. Thittam Irandu, featuring Aishwarya Rajesh is a crime thriller that talks about transgender people, while his Adiyae, was set in an alternate universe, starring GV Prakash Kumar and Gouri Kishan.
