Trailer for Tovino Thomas' Anweshippin Kandethum starrer trailer to drop tomorrow; here's what to look out for..

Tovino Thomas will be seen as a cop in the Malayalam film Anweshippin Kandethum, which has been directed by Darwin Kuriakose. The crime thriller is slated to be released in theatres on February 9, and now, the makers have announced that the trailer will be released tomorrow (January 27) at 7 pm.

Anweshippin Kandethum is a mysterious crime thriller that takes place in the hills

The teaser for Anweshippin Kandethum hinted that the film is an eerily mysterious investigation headed by Tovino Thomas. The story is set in the hills. The trailer takes audiences through Tovino's character, a cop, investigating a case with the title, ‘To unravel the truth, with the power of 400, a force of four'. At the end of the video, the title, Anweshippin Kandethum, is seen and Tovino is reading a tiny card with an intense look.

A teaser sans dialogue

What is interesting is that there are no dialogues in the teaser. The makers have cleverly concealed vital details about the film to keep interest in it high. Despite this, the film might be underwhelming, as it seems to be a predictable crime thriller, even though the makers have said that Anweshippin Kandethum will be more than just a crime thriller.

The movie is based on two significant crimes that had a significant impact on the state of Kerala and the subsequent investigations that Tovino's character, a dedicated police officer, leads in this movie.

Besides Tovino, the film also stars Aadhya Prasad, who plays the female lead. The screenplay has been written by Jinu Abraham, who is known for his work in films like Adam Joan and Kaduva.
