Starring Tovino Thomas, Trisha Krishnan, Vinay Rai, and Mandira Bedi, the film is expected to be a three-part franchise
Directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan, the shooting for Identity, starring Tovino Thomas, began in Goa on September 12. Tovino Thomas took to his Facebook page to share some BTS pics of the shoot while announcing that the film has gone on floors.
Some scenes with Mandira Bedi have been canned; she plays a pivotal role in the film. The makers have planned a 4-day schedule in Goa, after which they will head to Rajasthan. Tovino will join the film shoot in October in Rajasthan, where some fight sequences will be shot. The action film is also slated to be shot in Jammu and Kashmir; the shooting will span a total of 120 days.
About Identity
Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead in the film, which also stars Thupparivaalan actor Vinay Rai. In an interview with OTTplay, Akhil Paul said that Identity has no connection with his early film, Forensic, and that it is not an investigative thriller. He also said that the film is planned as a three-part franchise, and the sequels will be planned based on how the first part is received.

Tovino Thomas' upcoming projects
Tovino has finished the shoot for his ambitious project, Ajayante Randam Moshanam , which is directed by Jithin Lal. The period drama showcases Tovino's talent in three different roles. The film, written by Sujith Nambiar, has been in production since 2017. It also stars Krithi Shetty, Aishwarya Rajessh, and Surabhi Lakshmi as the female leads, with Sathyaraj playing the villain. Basil Joseph, Harish Uthaman, Rohini, and Jagadish form the supporting cast.
Tovino is currently filming Lal Jr's Nadikar Thilakam, the shoot of which had paused recently after the actor sustained an injury on the set. According to reports, the shooting will resume in a week's time.
