Written and directed by Shashikanth, the film also stars Riya Suman, Brahmaji and Mime Gopi in key roles
Aadi Saikumar will try to crack the box-office code for the final time in 2022 with Top Gear, his fifth release for the year, written and directed by Shashikanth. Riya Suman plays the female lead in the film that also stars Narra Srinu, Brahmaji, Shatru, Mime Gopi and others in key roles. Top Gear, to release on December 30, is bankrolled by KV Sridhar Reddy under Sri Dhanalakshmi Productions.
The film’s trailer was launched by Ravi Teja earlier today. In the trailer, a series of characters are getting killed one after the other and the cops have little clue about the mastermind behind the murders. A group of goons and henchmen are after a man named David. Aadi Saikumar is introduced as a taxi driver named Arjun who has a love interest played by Riya Suman (Paperboy, Majnu fame).
What connects Arjun to the murders and David? Why are the cops chasing him? Is his girl’s life in danger? What would he do to rescue her? By the end of the trailer, Aadi threatens to a kill a few people and even points a gun towards a character. Harshavardhan Rameswar’s slick background score and the crisp edits ensure that the trailer serves its purpose - capturing the viewer’s attention.
With cinematography by Sai Sriram, Top Gear is edited by Prawin Pudi. Ramanjaneyulu is the art director and Giridhar Mamidipally is the executive producer. Aditya Movies and Entertainments present the film. Aditya Music has acquired the music rights. Aadi Saikumar’s other releases this year were Atithi Devobhava, Crazy Fellow, Black and Tees Maar Khan.
Riya Suman, who debuted with Majnu, was recently seen in the Tamil film Agent Kannayiram, the remake of the Telugu hit Agent Sai Sreenivasa Athreya. Her other release this year was the Ashok Selvan starrer Manmadha Leelai. Besides Top Gear, she’ll be seen in another Telugu film titled Men Too.
