As it geared up to get released in Kolkata, Shakib, Mimi, and Raihan Rafi asked people to watch the Bangla cinema. They unequivocally agreed Bengali viewers in West Bengal need to prioritise Bengali cinema over other languages. Mimi said, “Often people come to me to take selfies and tell us, ‘I don’t watch Bengali films but I want to take photos with you.’ I request them to watch Bengali films. People often troll me in the comment section if I use Hindi or English phrases in a sentence while talking in Bengali. I think instead of the social media comment section, one should go to a theatre and watch Bengali cinema to show your love for the language. In Bangladesh, people open single-screen theatres thinking of Bengali cinema.”

Shakib Khan also asked his fans to watch Bengali cinema. “The love and support from the audience have been overwhelming. Toofan is more than just a film; it’s a celebration of our Bengali cinema. I am really looking forward to the India release now. People waited and watched films like Baahubali and KGF. Now they are waiting for Toofan to get released in Kolkata,” he said. Mimi and Shakib danced with Ura Dhura from Toofan after the press meet.
