Toofaan’s soulful track Ananya offers glimpses of Mrunal Thakur’s adorable character in the film

After releasing the ‘Toofaani Transformation’ video of Farhan Akhtar post the release of Toofaan, the makers of the movie have now dropped the song titled Ananya from the film. As evident from the name, the song focuses on Mrunal Thakur’s character Ananya.

The delightful track, composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio and written by Javed Akhtar, is rendered by Arijit Singh. The video tracks the phases of Mrunal’s life in the film. It starts with the simple court wedding of its lead couple and takes the audience through romantic and cheerful moments during their marriage including her pregnancy and celebrations along with their friends and family.

Last month, talking at a virtual conference during the film’s trailer launch, Mrunal said she always wanted to work with Toofaan’s director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and that it’s a dream come true for her. “I remember sending him (Rakyesh) a Facebook message during Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and now Toofaan is happening. I’m very excited and I feel I’m very blessed,” she added.

Meanwhile, composer Ehsaan Noorani shared the latest track on Twitter and wrote, “An ode to love sung beautifully by @arijitsingh here’s #Ananya (sic).”
