Tom Hardy’s Venom 2 to hit theatres on October 14, a day ahead of original release date

Directed by Andy Serkis, the movie will also feature Woody Harrelson and Naomie Harris

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. There is exciting news for the fans of the anti-hero. The superhero movie will now be releasing on October 14, a day ahead of the original release date.

This decision was taken considering the festive season, and to cash in on the long weekend. The movie will also release in Maharashtra on October 22, the day theatres reopen in the state.

The news was shared by Sony Pictures India through their social media, as they shared the poster of the movie in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will tell the story of Eddie Brook, over a year from the events of the first movie. As Eddie looks to come to terms with the alien symbiote that has latched on to him, things go south.

The movie will also introduce Cletus Kasady, a dangerous serial killer played by Woody Harrelson, who turns into the villain Carnage, after he becomes host to a symbiote. The movie also features Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott and Stephen Graham in other roles.

The sequel to Venom is directed by Andy Serkis, who is looking to make a mark as a director after years of great acting performances using the motion capture technology, in movies like The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Planet of the Apes reboot series.
