TMKOC fame Kanwalpreet Singh on Gurucharan Singh Sodhi's disappearance - 'I tried reaching out to him...'

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh Sodhi's sudden disappearance has left everyone concerned about him. The actor, who played Sodhi in TMKOC, has been missing since April 22. He was supposed to travel from Delhi to Mumbai. However, Gurucharan never boarded the flight, following which, his father filed a missing complaint. Now, TMKOC actor Kanwalpreet Singh, who is seen as Tinchu, expressed concern over Gurucharan's disappearance.

In an interview with ETimes TV, Kanwalpreet Singh from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah said he was shocked upon hearing the news of Gurucharan Singh Sodhi's disappearance.

"I tried reaching out to him when I heard the news but in vain. At this moment, we can just pray for his safety and hope he is found and is in good health. It is a tough time for his family, and I just pray to Guru Nanak ji, to give strength to his family," said Kanwalpreet Singh.

For the uninitiated, Sodhi was captured on footage from a security camera (CCTV) installed in the Palam area. The CCTV footage shows him crossing the road. As per the officials, the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor was supposed to board a flight at 8:30 pm but he was spotted a traffic intersection in the Palam area around 9:14 pm.

Official statement on Gurucharan Singh Sodhi's disappearance

Meanwhile, DCP Rohit Meena of South-West Delhi issued an official statement on Gurucharan Singh Sodhi's case. "Gurucharan Singh’s family lodged a complaint with us that he left for Mumbai on 22 April at 8:30 PM. He has been missing since then. We have registered a case and are investigating from multiple angles. We are looking for footage and technical investigation and we have even found many vital clues," he said.

As far as the actor's work front is concerned, he left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2020 due to his father's health and delayed payments.
