In February this year, filmmaker Hemanth M Rao had revealed that his next would be a fictional period fantasy drama set in the 14thcentury
During the promotions of his last directorial, the two-part love story Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, filmmaker Hemanth M Rao had hinted at doing a film in a very different genre, which would be his most commercial venture to date. At the time, he was toying with the sci-fi genre, but later on, when he eventually got around to officially announcing it, it was said to be an action-packed period fantasy drama, with Century Star Shivarajkumar in the lead.
Hemanth M Rao’s action drama with Shivarajkumar film is now official
The film, produced by Vaisakh J Gowda, was officially announced on February 1, although there was no timeline on when it would go on floors, since Hemanth was still in the process of scripting. It seems that the filmmaker has stepped on the gas and is ready to go on floors soon. As the first step, the team is now ready to announce what this ambitious project is going to be called. On July 4, at 11.11 am, Hemanth will reveal the title of what will be his 5th directorial.
In earlier interviews, Hemanth has been quoted as saying that he is looking forward to presenting Shivarajkumar in a never-before-seen avatar. The plan, he’d added is to have the film out as a 2025 release. Shivarajkumar, who was last seen in Karataka Damanaka is currently giving finishing touches to his second home production, Bhairathi Ranagal, which is the prequel/sequel of Mufti.

There’s also 45, the directorial debut of composer Arjun Janya and Uttarakaanda, the gangster tale directed by Rohit Padaki, which also stars Dhananjaya. The Hattrick hero has a long list of acting commitments, including projects with Ghost director MG Srinivas, Lohith H, R Chandru, Pavan Wadeyar, Lakki Gopal, among others in Kannada.
The actor’s next release will be Bhairathi Ranagal, which was meant to be in theatres on August 15, but delays in completing the shoot has meant that the team will push it to September or October. He is paired with Sapta Sagaradaache Ello fame Rukmini Vasanth in the film.
