Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, Malaikottai Vaaliban features Mohanlal in the lead role
Director Tinu Pappachan’s latest film, Chaaver was released in the theatres on October 5. The film has garnered mixed reviews from audiences. Commenting on that, Tinu said that those disappointed were probably expecting a pure action drama like his previous works that include Ajagajantharam and Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil. However, the filmmaker also emphasised that he cannot make every movie the same way.
During an interview with Behind Woods Ice Tinu expressed his gratitude for both positive and negative reviews for Chaaver. While he doesn’t necessarily agree with any deliberate degradation, the director said that he came across some negative reviews before the first screening of the film.

Malaikottai Vaaliban is also an emotional drama
Tinu, who is also the associate director of Mohanlal starrer Malaikottai Vaaliban directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, shared insights about the film. According to Tinu, the audience should not anticipate a fight in every scene of Malaikottai Vaaliban. He clarified that Malaikottai Vaaliban is not solely a mass action film, but rather it is an emotional drama with some massy scenes.
During an earlier interview with the New Indian Express Tinu mentioned that Malaikottai Vaaliban will be an extraordinary theatre experience for the viewers, lauding the director for creating something Malayalam cinema has never witnessed.
